I have just started to make the third main menu mod and I am having a small problem with the background.
does anyone know how to get rid of the soulstorm and sun on the main screen?

Shouldn't it be precisely the same as with DC? Since I remember a number of mods that changed that.

I'm making backgrounds as well if that's what you mean. The only problem is the animated soulstorm and the sun. There were no animations on DC so it was much easier.

Right now, what do you mean with sun?
The warp storm in the background?
If you're looking at a background, I recommend checking out the steel legion mod I think (they had a teamcolorable mod in the background itself_, since that might give you some clues.
The storm fx is a clearly an fx attached to a holder model.

there is also a animated sun in the top right. I've checked the fx folder in the engine but I can't find anything from the background.
