good morning guys,

i have just joined this gaming forum full of warhammer enthusiasts.

i was playing dawn of war dc skirmish and campaign as sm and all my graphical settings are on high the thing i noticed is that the sm weapons and visuals are more clear graphically than in the skirmish game which if u notice is a bit downgraded and i am not talking of army painter.

and when playing as ig i notice that u get a different red clour techpriest than the green one which u get in the skirmish game.

now can some of u really good guys out tere giude me so as to how to incorporate all those things in the skirmish game too.

thanks a million in advance.

yes, we are ignore him ^

I would've thought that having settings turned up to max wouldn't make any difference as to whether or not you are playing campaign or on skirmish.

All I can suggest is that their are differences between the 2 i.e campaign uses different models for some troops to make it that little bit more interesting.

Well I think it's more in the painting scheme used in the campaign most of it is set. so's the only way to remedy it is to get some awsome custom skins that either uses the campaign default or has a better set. I remember on the first dow no matter what I do I couldn't get the exact paint scheme of the blood ravens in the campaign in skirmish till I discoverd hiveworldterra, and stevieboy is right it has nothing to do with the detail whatsoever.. it has something to do with the whm.files used on the models.

you have to open the local.ini file in your dow directory and add the line
Code:
fullres_teamcolour=1
search for it first!!
Then create a shortcut for your dc exe and add this to it's target line.
Code:
"-forcehighpoly"

hope this helps.

Remeber, that if people with whom you play begin to comlplain of lag, even if you do not experiance it yourself--remove these things ASAP.

wraithcat is 90 % right here,

do add Fullres_teamcolour=1, ( or it can be Fullres_teamcolor=1 ) check the DC readme for that detail,

But reconsider using the command line -Forcehighpoly because it's really not usefull for what it "clearly change ingame" you'll almost won't notice change. or if you do... it's gonna be big time lagging,

all it do in simple words, is change the mipmaping setting of texture for really close up / far away zooming,

Unless you are a "3D cameniac" and you got a "uber" comp... leave it be.
anyways, what is you comp power, Core, Ram, GPU(+Vram) and CPU please.
