dude, i have just started too, and there is a thread sumwhere on here that links to the new tools and stuff, cant remeber where it is though

and also to #2, i know but it takes along time cos i coat the map in grass or watever the main floor is, and then add as i go along, but it takes along time even on the smallest map, i was wondering wether there was like a button to fill the map with a certain thing like grass, a shortcut similar to the sims when you can fill a room with the same carpet instantly. if you dont have sims then ignore that bit, but I find it a bit of a slog really,, but i havent properly tested it yet so

I'd considered that comissarpat but i have a few maps which have all the textures missing in game yet they are all in the folder, plus I have seen no such comments on the boards at the download site, logical assumption never the less.

now that i was not aware of, i'll go do that and post the results thanks lq8110

No dice fellas the question marks are still there, I also tried copying the map information from the W40k folder into the WXP folder nad vice versa, no effect.

Man, I have tried mapping and it requires to much patience for me to handle. I used to make maps for Starcraft and really enjoyed it but this is a lot more of a complicated system. I tried just making a simple jungle map and I had to spot making it cause it sucked to bad. I don't know how you have to patience comissarpat.

i dont, really, but i persisted and last night i finished a really shit map!! so i am now gonna start a proper one because i know what to do now...well in a few days

Okay Im a noob mapper and I need some help, I have made my map I have 2 start locations and have named it and given it a discription and haev saved it in:
C;\program files\THQ\Dawn of war\WXP\data\scenarios\MP

and also in the dark crusade one except sapping WXP for DXP2 or what ever its called, anyway when i Open either winter assault or Dark crusade My map isnt there for me to play, and Ive checked for errors in the error thing in the map editor yet still i cant find the map! please can someone tell me what I may have done wrong.
