uhm...Doom3 SDK is out. Visit your favorite gaming file download website and you should see it available. You will need VS.net 2002 or later...you can not compile it with VC++6.0. You will also need to have or download DirectX 9.0C SDK and copy it into a msdn folder under the C:\Doom3 folder or where ever you choose to install the SDK. You will also need the ODBC32.DLL (some ppl have built working dll's without it though), and if you wish to build a debug version then you need the Debugging Tools for Windows from Microsoft. You will also need to change from the default Debugging with inline and memory logs to just Debug using the Build Configuration Manager in the VC++2005 Beta IDE (or however .net 2002 or 2003 allows changing it). And, you will need to add the paths to the debugging tools LIB and INC directories. |
Re: uhm...Doom3 SDK is out. That's bloody complicated to access a friccin SDK. |
Re: uhm...Doom3 SDK is out. The SDK allows me to view the imp and the imp's animations and model in a powerful graphics program called Maya 5.0 . The imp is actually of low detail because the arms and head have a lot of flat edges and in general the model is not as rounded as the other models. |
Re: uhm...Doom3 SDK is out. I had problems building just the vanilla code with vs.net 2003. I receive a "Internal compiler error" which doesnt make sense since all the remedies to fix that were already set in the project's properties. If anyone has any help for this, I would appreciate it. Oh and if you are interested in making a nice serverside mod, feel free to contact me. Thanks, -cHoSeN oNe |
