Adjusting clip size does not work?

Im trying to increase the clipsize of the shotgun from 8 to 10. Im editing the weapon_shotgun.def file and making:

"clipSize" "8"

to

"clipSize" "10"

I got the max ammo inventory thing down but want to start changing the max clipsize of certain weapons. When I do make the changed tomax clipsize, they do not work. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.....

I have no idea. It's always worked for me. Maybe you have a conflicting mod in the base folder?

I think there is more than one place to make those edits. There is an mp.def file as well as an ammo.def and a weapon_???.def

Try checking that they all agree.

Know what I almost forgot that I had mod pk files in the base directory that was overlapping the orginal def files in the pak000 file. Come to realize that those mods had weapon def file that put them back to I changed them all to the clip sizer I wanted and PRESTO!!!!

Putting multiple mod paks together is doable but gotta watch the scripts that could conflict with thy ideas. I guess that all this Hurricane stress is making me think narrow.
