Pencil signature tutorial

Here, I'll teach you how to make a pencil signature.
Create a new image 600 x 100 with a transparent background

Fill it with pure yellow orange

Create a new guide in the middle, horizontally

Select one half and move the selection to the middle

Drag new guides to split the image into quarters

Select the top quarter and increase the brightness (IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS>BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST) to +20
Select the bottom quarter and decrease to brightness to -20

Create a new layer under the orange layer and fill it with pastel yellow orange. Hide the orange layer by clicking the eye icon next to it

Apply noise (FILTER>NOISE)

Apply motion blur (FILTER>BLUR>MOTION BLUR)

Add shadows and highlights using dodge and burn (CTRL+O) and drag a new guide

Make a selection

Transform the selection (CTRL+T>PERSPECTIVE) dragging the corners to the center

Paint the lead and add a highlight to it with a soft brush

Make the orange layer visible and delete the right part

Drag a new guide

Using the guides as a reference, create an eliptical selection in the middle part, hold SHIFT and make narrower selections on the top and bottom. Invert the selection (SELECT>INVERSE)

Erase part of the orange layer as shown

Select the color pastel magenta red

Make a new layer and make a 100 x 100 selection on the left side. Fill it with the new color and apply noise using the same settings as before

Make a new layer and move the selection to the right. FIll with black, deselect and add gaussian blur (1.0)

Reselect (SHIFT+CTRL+D) and make a new layer. Reset the colors (D) reverse them (X) and apply a reflected gradient (CTRL+G) dragging down from the top guide

Make a round selection 100 x 100 over the eraser and invert the selection

Delete part of the image as shown

Use dodge and burn to finish the eraser

Make a rounded rectangle (U>10 px radius) and center it. It shouldn't touch the edges

Apply an inner bevel

Type your name on the label and center it. It shouldn't touch the edges. Apply the same bevel
