So here pick the duel and give us an explanation as to why you picked.
I picked Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan Vs Darth Maul.
I picked this as it was an intense, fast, thrilling and unpredictable 2 v 1. The fight takes us to several places with several twists and turns. The entrance of the double-bladed lightsaber and Maul's true stand to the Jedi make this my most favoured. Maul attends to an apprentice and master with almost ease throughout showing his arrogance at several times. I loved this!
P.S, forgive me if I have forgotten any.

Either Qui-Gonn and Obi-wan vs Dath Maul, or Obi-wan vs Anakin/Yoda vs Sidious.
The Yoda vs Sidious battle was short lived, but Yoda's got some mad moves that are just fun to watch. Not to mention the music accompanying Episode 3's duel was fucking amazing.
If I had to pick a duel from the older films, it'd probably be Luke vs Vader in Return of the Jedi.

I pick Obi-Wan vs Anakin on Mustafar because Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan vs Darth Maul is a threesome, not a duel. Not that I have something against threesomes, but still...
I choose Luke vs Vader in RotJ. The duel in episode 1 with Maul was "cooler", but the RotJ duel showed Luke struggle with the dark side, and lead to the end of Sidious.

Obi-wan embraced the dark side in the fight with Maul. He took all of the rage from watching his master basically die, and used it to defeat Maul. He wasn't even using the lightsaber technique he practiced, he didn't really give a shit at that point.

Well, yeah, but I fail to see what that has to do with my post. If Obiwan had fallen, he'd have been killed by the Jedi, or more likely turned himself in. He seems to like doing that. He was too weak to embrace the dark side fully. If Luke had, the galaxy would have been royally screwed.

I picked the Duel of the Fates, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon vs. Darth Maul, obviously.
It was the very first time we had ever seen Jedi, before the Fall, fighting a Sith as equally or perhaps even more energetic than themselves. It was new, fast-paced, energetic and fresh; and amazingly well done. Oh and the dual-bladed saber? I think everyone jizzed in their pants in the theater. I know I did.

It has to do with your post because you mentioned the dark side. And I don't think they would have been royally screwed, the death star was already on its way to hell. Leia was still around too, it would have been hard but she could have become a Jedi even if Luke had died.
