Luke vs. Vader Episode V. Proof that you don't need flashy CGI to do scenes like that, just good scenery, music, and dialogue.

Seconded. What it lacks in acrobatics and showy choreography it more than makes up for in its carefully constructed sense of tension and overall significance. Plus it culminates in probably the most epic moments of the series. Don't worry I won't spoil it for those who don't know. =p

I'm pretty biased towards ESB in general but still.

D; Truth, except that if Luke had turned, he'd have still made it off, and been welcomed home for a job well done just as he was. Then he'd go off and be evil.

Anyway, I'm torn between your choice and Obi-Wan vs Anakin (Darth Vader) on Mustafar.

:agreed

They are my favourite without a doubt. The duel of fates was just mental, the music alone is mad. Plus Everyone thinks Darth Maul is cool.

The Duel on Mustafar is just intense, you're not sure whats going to happen, Vaders injuries had been assumed to be by Obi-Wan but we really had no idea.

Actually he didn't. Lucas said it himself.

Yes he used his anger but he never touched the Dark Side, if he did he wouldn't of came back so easily. His lightsaber style was still derived from Soresu as he was still playing defensively as shown when he cut Maul's lightsaber.

Impossible. If Luke had died it was the last of the Jedi teachings available after Yoda's death. Katarn and others may of learnt some and learnt the ways of the force but they would never truelly be Jedi. The only Jedi I can think of if Luke had died in episode 6 would be master Vos and whats the likelihood of Leia finding him in the forests of Kashyyk?

I think the duel between Obi-Wan and Grevius was interesting to watch.

I don't know how many Jedi Grievous killed, but for someone who took pride and joy in killing Jedi (with the aid of Dooku's training) and collecting their Lightsabers, he lost the battle against Obi-Wan far too quickly and easily, if you ask me.

Especially when you consider that Grievous had been able to fight off Mace Windu, Shaak Tii and another 2 Jedi (can't think who) simultaneously and even injure a couple of them taking no damage himself.

Obi-Wan may of been one of the greatest Jedi knights of his time but not even his master of Soresu should of been able to beat Grievous, especially not that fast.

maybe Grievous was just cocky and overconfident. That could have messed him up.

Re: Your favourite duel from Episode I-VI.

Regardless of his cockiness or the lack of it, four Lightsabers against one, combined with that fanning + simultaneously moving forward attack should have given Obi-Wan much harder time than it did.

If anyone was cocky, it was Obi-Wan. He just jumped from above in the middle of the group of battle droids behind Grievous and said "hello there", like "oh hai there my old friend, long time no see". =p Instead of waiting for his clones to arrive, he went in alone with no backup. And you say Grievous was cocky. =p

My second theory is that the duel wouldn't have been as good if it didn't happen or Obi got hurt or dead
