| It's a tough question, really. Are we talking about Force usage, lightsaber proficiency, diplomatic skills or a well-rounded combination? If we're talking about lightsaber proficiency then I'm going to go all controversial on your asses and call it a tie between Mace Windu and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Mace Windu was without a doubt one of the lightsaber masters of his time, creating his own violent form and being pretty much the only Jedi capable of using it without falling to the Dark Side. Why Obi-Wan Kenobi too, then? As a master of Soresu, and praised by Windu for it, he was able to hold his own in single combat for a virtually infinite amount of time. General Grievous had killed or defeated numerous Jedi in his time, and yet Kenobi was able to withstand his onslaught and gradually (and literally) disarm him. He then went on to mutilate Darth Vader, who was also proclaimed one of the greatest duelists of the time. Regarding Force usage, it would have to be Yoda. He had the midi-cholorians (ugh), he had the age, wisdom and experience to use them. Don't judge him by his size. He hates that, and might start talking backwards again. Also a close second for lightsaber proficiency in my eyes. As for a well-rounded Jedi, I'd give that to Qui-Gon Jinn. His lightsaber combat skills were well-admired and despite his age he valiantly fought Darth Maul to a stalemate for quite some time before his fateful mistake. His ability to use the Force was also quite potent, though when they did fail him he was able to use the power of simple persuasion to effect great changes and manipuate people. And now he's a ghost and gets to haunt people and rattle chains around.

| I'ts difficult if not impossible to find out who was the more powerful jedi as force users were compared to their peers at the time. Because of the constant conflicts with the Sith, jedi teachings were lost, only to be rediscovered while new ones were developed.. A character from Kotor, the sith lord Darth Treia commented that "compared to the old masters, we are simply children playing with the force". This to me says that while Darth Vader was the chosen one, he was the chosen one of a modern era, and wouldn’t need to be the ultimate Jedi. This would also mean that Luke wasn't especially powerful. That too makes sense as his training was brief and he was quite old when he started to actually learn about the force, all he had going for him was his relation to Darth Vader. I'm not sure if the game KOTOR is regarded as canon, but it featured a sith lord with the ability to siphon the life from an entire planet from orbit. If Vader or Sidious had this sort of power, they wouldn't have needed Death stars and Galaxy guns. The one that saved Bail Organa and got cut down by those clones? Yeah, that was pretty weak. He might have grown up to be more powerful than vader, but an errand blaster bolt is all it takes to end even the greatest potential.

| I think that the most powerful jedi in Episode 1-6 is defiantely Luke, he eventually built the whole jedi council from scratch and defeated darth vader with limited training, later in his life, with MUCH more triaining, he was beyond anyone. If your talking Expanded Universe though, its definativly Jacen solo. His power extended to the point of actually concealing himself from luke. And he could turn invisible, and travel forward or backword in time and influence events directly, as if he was actually there. He could also do all of these simeltaneously. He blows anyone away. |

![]() I'll just use wjlaslo's response to practically the same post in the "Most powerful Force User" thread. It pretty much sums up what I was going to say. Last edited by Fyurii; October 1st, 2008 at 06:52 PM.. Reason: wjlaslo said it better than myself, in another thread. |

| wjlasloThe2nd is right, i guess the most powerful would have to be an ancient sith or jedi, maybe a Rakata, i dont know... |

| I wouldn't go for Yoda because... he just doesn't look the type that would be the strongest... I'm more for Luke... |

| I'd have to say Luke here. There were many powerful Jedi over the history but Luke was one who has done so much more then alot of Jedi have.
