That TOTALLY Doesn't sound like HIGHLY Unoriginal character. If your actually trying to make this a Book, NO ONE at Lucas arts will accept that unless you were able to Adequately explain a Number of things. Such as how he was stronger than Darth Sidious. To me this is starting to sound like all the Terrible Fan fiction I've seen at FanFiction.net.

It's your book, good luck with it. Nobody ever said that you have to release it to the public. If you do, good luck with Lucas arts. I'm sure you're book will come out good, after all 'tis not easy to write a book...

sounds retarded. you probably only choose such a late time period because u suk so hard that u cant make any coherent events to tie in to the canon, so u make up a ridiculous plot with the main characters still alive and u can mke up whatever u want b\c there is no history. u also hae ridiculously named villians who are typically "10 times more uber than darth sidious". It sounds like u put no thought into plot, u just thought it sounded cool to write about jedi and have a few pointless lightsaber battles.

My story, which i dont advertise, actually has a significant plot following Kas'im's life. He doesnt need to be "uber" to have a good book, though i'd admit that he does hav some cool fights. He has deep emotions, and the imagery of the book relates to him, as well as many powerful metaphors. There are also several subplots and underlying motives, with well dynamic characters, as well as a love affair between Kas'im and another. Plz stop bragging about your "book", which probably isnt even that, and write a coherent story. mine is currently 9000 words and 25 pages, and I hope to have 20000 words when i am finished. you really need to plan out your books, not just have "uber" villians and old, recylcled characters.

Now, thats not to say that mine story s better than yours, but myself and many others have read it, star wars fans and non-fans alike, and they all find it interesting and intellectual. You may have a good story, but the way you make it sound iit s not relevant at all.

Try to think of a better story. There's so many gaps between other stories that can be filled in. What about a story just 60 years A.B.Y. about some crazy jedi who turn evil, takes control of the remnant empire and tries to restore it to it's former glory. In fact, it could be a war between the empire and the hutts. Or you could do some sort of civil war in the new republic. You don't even have to do something big like that. What about two bounty hunters working for the emperer at the beginning of the jedi purge who hunt down jedi. That is a very rich plot for amazing characterization. You could have them turn good, or become more evil. Or one could become good and help the jedi and the other could remain bad and they end up fighting. Be original!

How could anyone be 10 x more powerful than Sidious other than in your own mind? Remember, even though the galaxy is built in fantasy, the laws of space/time and reality still are the roots of what can be 'humanly' done.

Sounds . . tacky and unbelievable.

Give the guy a chance, it's not easy to build on 25,000 years of history. And besides, it's his original idea.

I'll play the Devil's Advocate here:
I agree if you plan on openly publishing it. Be prepared to explain a mess load of back history, especially Skywalker and Solo family lineage for 10,000 years. Sounds like a lot of inbreeding. What happened to the daughters of Solos and Skywalkers that marry away? Most traditions have the female taking the name of the Husband like Leia did with Han. How do you explain the diverse branches of the family tree? What is the Republic like in 10,000 ABY? Is there even a stable galactic government? Is the Force still used? Are the Jedi still around? What advances in technology have been made? Etc. Etc.

As I stated above, you will have a shit load of back peddling to do....

Pay no attention to Mitth-raw-nuruodo, who is clearly putting you down and is probably an ass clown. I'm so glad that you think you are such a writer, Mitthy-raw-inyourutter. You should probably let some of us read it and critique it for you, if you are so confident in your story. Perhaps JCarter, Fyurii or my apprentice, Revan 91 could offer you some insight. I would offer you my services if you like, but I am busy writing 2 of my own novels. The big one is set 1000 years ABY. I already have much back story and research invested in it, and I've written over 150,000 words in it already and am currently trying to plan out Chapters Seven through Twelve. The second one is a short story set about 10 years after the Jedi Civil War in KOTOR. It will be about 10 chapters long, close to if not over 100,000 words.
So up yours, Mitthy my pal. :sitonit:

Anyway, back to the subject. It's your book, so I suggest you do some research and get things right. Don't be afraid to go back and re-write some things that don't quite fit in to the later stuff you write. Consider writing a few drafts before you state that you are finished. And it doesn't matter how many words you write, as long as you can paint a vivid, colorful picture with words that are full in detail and rich in imagination. Just plan it out first.

Let him have his story. Who are we to nay-say his ideas just because you don't like them. Maybe he would surprise you all.

I don't hear anyone trying to write a story about the ancient Jedi of 10,000 BBY or earlier. Why not? Nobody around here up to the task? Or all you nay-sayers a bunch of chiken-shits? Leave the poor guy alone. Obviously he is excited about his story. And since none of YOU are George Lucas, who in the hell are you to talk down to this guy.

Shame on all of you.

Take my advice, man. Write your story and be proud of it. Screw these guys. Do it for your sake and do it well.

Re: Star Wars 10,000 A.B.Y. My book!!

Three things.

1) Maybe I was a little harsh and I attempted to force ideas on him, but that was not my intension. I simply thought it wasn't logical to write a story that far in the future.

2) One of the female Solo children could have become a journalist, hence carrying on the Solo name when she married.

3) Don't think that no one is working on a story 10,000 years B.B.Y... or 6,500...

Wow. I think the two posts above (Darth Dracon, R.Z.K) are the only posts that have actually given you a positive remark.
