Sidious died when Vader threw because it had to or he would have killed Luke and that just can't happen. It's part of the basic structure of a movie villain.

Kreia had to kill three. Sidious killed three nearly instantly and struggled with the fourth, whom I say he did on purpose so he could more easily sway Anakin. If the filmmakers had actually shown Sidious to his full potential, he might have had little problems with Mace Windu. They couldn't show him with no weaknesses.

He let himself die because that's the way movies work. The good guys win.

I'm not in any way denying Sidious's power, redneck. I'm simply saying that to everyone else, he must've seemed only like a popular politician.

One thing to bare in mind about Sith Lords....

Part of their power is the ability to use the Force to corrupt and manipulate others.
Kreia was certainly good at this kind of thing, but Sidious by far surpassed her ability at that kind of thing.

Practically ever other Sith Lord after Bane instituted his version of the Rule of Two has hidden away beneath the notice of the Jedi.

Sidious, literally hid in plain sight!

The Jedi didn't trust him because he was a politician, but none of them truly suspected that he was the Sith Lord whose machinations had once again brought war to the Republic, without the Jedi being any the wiser.

Well, since I have owned Darth Traya in Kotor 2 but I have not owned Darth Sidious in any game, I must vote for Sidious
