Stormtrooper voice
 

Hey, I have a question. I wanted to apply some filters in videos to make the voices sound like stormtroopers in helmets. Are there any free tools to do this?

You can try WavePad. I just tried it out and managed to get a sound close to a stormtrooper voice. It's completely free, though you can get a bit more power with a paid-for piece of software.

With wave pad I ran a high-pass filter on the radio/telephone preset, then amplified it until it sounded right. I'm also playing around with some of the DirectX effects with good results. Give it a try.
