micro suggestions?

Hey guys, forgive me if I'm missing something obvious, but I'm having a hell of a time trying to micro in this game. The stance buttons don't seem to work. I can't seem to get my units to stay in one place. I put them all on "stand ground" but they still seem to wander off.
My other big problem is that I can't find a hotkey / mod that will let me give one order to a group of troops. For example, I say I'm playing Tau and I have a group of broadsides, I've selected all of them and I want them to go into entrench mode. Is there a way I can just click one button / key combo to make them all go entrenched, or must I click every single one and tell it to entrench? It's REALLY annoying. Any suggestions/mods that would help? Thanks

technically the only command that doesn't work for the whole group is fleet of foot I think. All others work for all.

Althought there's a possibility it only works if you use the hotkey instead of the button.

Try the hotkey instead of the button if it helps.

Otherwise if you plan to play eldar - get used to having your hand on tab.
As that cycles the focus between selected units, allowing you to turn fleet of foot on and off.

Although odd that your stances don't work. Never had a problem with them myself.

i had a problem with the stances and the imperial guard heavy weapons entrenching as soon as the game started, i had to reinstall to get it back to normal again.
dont worry about microing too much though, youll eventually get the hang of it =)
