i would make a poll for this but i don't know how but anyways post what you think
a;do you think the fire bomb blastshould be as big as a squad yes or no
b;do you think the krack bomb should be more powerfull butm less blast radius

The Immortal Emperor of Mankind appeared to me in dreams and told me "Thou shall not make use of Air Units in thy Soulstorm Game"..
So I don't know.

You know I could solve this problem real fast.
*Converts a Basilisk chassis into a twin barrel 80mm mobile radar guided anti-air battery*
Sol-ved!

I'd vote that instead of these stupid planes sitting around like flying mobile turrets, they actually make a flippin' strafe! Play around with the old Rise of Nations aircaft. They're better than these glorified flying armorless tanks any day.

Re: murader bombs

yeh i remember the good ol days of RTS aircraft. Red alert had a good system of the russian migs and yakks taking off from a airstrip and attacking a target then returning. So why couldnt dow implement this sort of style where each race gets some sort of airstrip

Also theres plenty of flying units:
Orks: bomber > fighter bomber
attacker: attack copter

Ig: bomber > Maruader
attacker: valkire or vulture

Sm: bomber > thunderhawk
attacker: tempest

and so on

Re: murader bombs

that's what these SS aircraft are! Helicopters with fixed wings!

Edit: And I might add I would love to bring a Thunderhawk into this game as a bomber.

If you want some real aircombat in an RTS play the ancient RTS total annihilation.

The marauder is actually one of the few aircraft, next ot the barracuda that is actually usable. It doesn't need buffing.

The difference between a thunderhawk and the rest of of the aircraft is the fact, that it is not an aerial but a spatial gunship. Which basically makes it a few magnitudes bigger and stronger. It's actual size is somewhere around a 747 I believe.

You guys, the engine was not meant to support aerial units, Relic wanted to mix things up and added them instead of more ground units, we don't need to make a huge case out of it, if lying units make an appearance in DoW 2, I can guarentee you that bombers wil actually do strafing runs, since they would incorporate it the vanilla version, not just an after thought after two previous expansions

Re: murader bombs

As far as aircraft go the maurauder is underused, but it's pretty useful against massed infantry armies that are all packed together (the fire bomb thing) overall I think they're fine and don't need any changes.

If you want my opinion on the other aircraft...well don't get me started especially on hell talons...
