I'm sure most of us have had problems in multiplayer at one time or another. Since you are on the internet that is a good sign, as long as it is the computer you are using for gaming! Here are some more things to check:

1. Are you possibly running in -dev mode? (This is a change in your shortcut, perhaps something you installed to help you take screenshots or something. Try launching directly from the gameplay disk to see if that works.)

2. Do you have the latest updates? Only gamers that are totally up to date can join online games, so make sure you have all the patches you need for the expansion you are playing.

3. Are you running a mod of some kind? Mods will only allow you to play with others of the exact same mod. Change back to normal using your Game Manager.

4. Is your firewall, virus scanner or antispyware shield blocking your Dawn of War? These can be harder to detect, and each one can be different. If the above items check out, I would do some hunting around with your software to make sure that your game is on your exceptions lists.

5. Perhaps your Dawn of War files are messed up. At the end of the story, it can be that you have to reinstall your game. This isn't so bad as long as you back up your profile (profiles folder), saved games (playback folder), and favorite mods and maps so that you don't loose anything. On rare occasions there is a problem in the profile that is causing it (by having played a mod that you uninstalled and it can't figure it out), but if your game is working right in single player this shouldn't be a problem. Make copies of all you want to keep, uninstall the game, reinstall it, add the patches, try it out, and then slowly add back in everything trying it out as you go to make sure you didn't break it somehow when you added something.

I hope it works out for you!

Did you reinstall your game yet? That normally does fix it, if it ever did work before. The other issue would be to see if it is getting blocked by another program you have installed. If you want to tell me what kind of antivirus, firewall, anti-adaware, spyware or whatever you have recently installed on your computer I could look into it for you. Many of these keep a list of "exceptions" that are the only programs that can connect to something outside the internet and receive packets. It sounds to me like this is your problem.

Of course I should ask just to be sure, this is the same computer you are using on the internet, right? If your gaming computer isn't getting online at all that is a different story!
