How to play as IG online without buying winter assult?

A guy online told me to go here Dawn of War Demos, Mods, Patches & File Downloads and I would be able to download Winter Assult for free, but I can't find it.

Well, there is a way to play as IG without having WA, or buying it.

Go out and buy Dark Crusade or Soul Storm.

Better yet, go and buy the anthology!

Aside from that, ye shalt not find any illegal means by which thou mayest have that which IG grants without paying from these fine forums!

As far as I know, you need legitimate CD-Keys for each game if you want to play the different races online.
Skirmish & Campaign won't be a problem though.

Another alternative is through Steam.
You can buy the Dawn of War: Platinum edition for £16.99 or around $30 or so.

It includes DoW, WA and DC.
Soul Storm isn't as liked by either the community or players in general when it comes to the DoW games.
It didn't really add anything revolutionary or worthwhile to the DoW series except for a few new units and two other (somewhat mediocre imo) factions.

If you have dawn of war dc or ss and want to play the races from the earlier games online but dont have dow or dowwa then you can get an "all breeds enabler" crack for dc and ss although i dont know if its legal or not. so if you want to look for it its your choice.

So no, it's not legal and not allowed on here.

In principle, the only things that are legal to take for free are those that are so old that they are now in the public domain or who's original creators decided to grant a free license to the general public. If it is not one of these, you should know that no matter what anyone else says, if you use software without paying for it it really is stealing. Understanding this makes questions like this a lot clearer. I would recommend staying far away from anything that boils down to getting for free something that is for sale. If you want it enough, just buy it. If you really don't want to pay what it is worth, then live without it! As others have commented, it really is not very expensive anymore, and you can find used authentic games for sale even cheaper if you look around. On the flip side, your money is not wasted - it keeps the game developers employed so that they can keep on at what the are good at. So it really is a win-win.

you need to buy the ligit copy of the game, after you have that, it isnt nessecary to install winter assault to play the race online with dc or ss, i found out because with a 40 gig hardrive there isnt much space for dow and other things lol, PM me if you have the ligit copies of the game and want to know how to setup your computer to play without installing wa or vanilla. I dont think its not legal either, just involves manually writing the cd key into registry, also, fake or stolen cd keys will not work,
