Default What happened in this battle?

Wow. Okay, this game was before I patched, so I can't get the replay to play; I can still remember what happened clearly though. All I can do is attach the .rec file here within the zip. I hope you cal play it, I really need help. its 1.1 Dark Crusade. I'm Necron.

My friend got pissed, and now, no more friend. I really think it was just tactics that got him, but I could be wrong. What did I do that he didn't?

I'm not sure how many people will reply to this, as it's DC1.1 while the most of us have 1.2 already.

Was it 1v1 on an 8/player map?

The combine has not been forgotten

Yeah, it was 1v1 on Morriah Coast. He expanded quickly, I didn't. I say I won, because I had a smaller, guarded base, he doesn't say anything now.

EDIT: Isn't there a way to play 1.1 game replays?

Well not if you've got 1.2

Though I have to wonder - how were you ever able to win on an 8 player map - it's virtually impossible for a nec to out eco anyone there.

I had a problem like this back in the days of WA with a replay of an awesome battle in Streets of Vogen. I never got round to it, but there is a way to revert back to a previous version or something along the lines of that. Just Google the message it gives you when trying to play the replay on DC 1.2 and you should have an answer.

It was only me and my friend. I enjoy the space and time between rushes on large maps. Sorry, I can't play it yet, but haven't tried to look for a fix yet.

I guess if you can't watch the vid I can outline my strategy, but I suck at it. I just tell my first builder to build 4-5 generators, and then build 1 more scarab, 2 necron units, 2 more scarabs, then my lord. I make it a point to hit first and find the others base, so I know where to defend at, and possibly win right there, by rush teleporting my lord into their base. If he finds it, I tell him to attack it, and leave. He's cheap, and I can build him again. Tele him out after he comes back.

If you want more, Tell me. I make the strategy flexible so I don't get raped by one flaw that I always have (if I were to use the same strategy constantly). Main thing is patience I think, but easier said then done.

Cyrus

EDIT: Sorry! I think it's about 45 min to an hour, but I could be wrong.
