well the necrons wernt rejected from their bodies but in a way the were sort of foced into the metal bodies(they only lived until about 20 due to high radiation on there planet)

The necrons came forth before even the ancient eldar,they were born into the word only about a few million years after the birth of the stars. But i am not sure how long the imperiums has been around for
