Speculation On The NEW DoW EXPANSION

As most of you will know and some might not, Dawn of War will have it's third expansion in Spring 2008, named Dawn of War: Soulstorm the expansion will feature TWO new races, one confirmed by a third-party source as the Dark Eldar and one unannounced (as par the course.)

The expansion will introduce multiplayer merits, an entire solar system to conquor with battlefleets and ground forces and maybe most importantly, air units.

Use of air units in previous RTS games has either been overpowered or completely worthless, hearing that air units might be control-able units in-game instead of ordering an airstrike or something similar gives me a little pause, but this thread is to discuss that, the second unannounced race and anything else you'd like to see in Soulstorm.

Look for Dawn of War: Soulstorm on shelves Spring of 2008.

i would like more cap or decrease the cap on most units like why are all the tanks 5 its annoying that they take up half the cap 3 or lower is good 4 and up is just crazy.

actually i think its ironlore and thq that decided to add air units not relic, and wic i personaly hates you for saying dawn of war is bullshit, say one expansion is bullshit, say the whole game is bullshit

Lol I don't care what Relic do with flying units it will add more tactics anyway, and tbh DC and most people here prefer just spamming the same old units and the same tactics and so on... there is no fun in that AT ALL to me. And do not diss' Relic they are perfect people to be making a 40K universe game. And World in Conflict your grammar ain't good either. I don't really care if you spend time on grammar or not, I do, even though it sometimes is a waste of time.

Anyway I would rather see more TT land units but flying units will be different, and changes are great by all means. The new Campaign style also sounds amazing. Dark Eldar at last! I hope the mystery race is Tyranids, but Sisters of Battle would also be great, I don't mind what the mystery race is. They also need to change it so earlier on units can be better on later game, because it's a shame to see some units go to waste when in TT they are not. I also understand DoW is NOT TT too, but as closer to TT it is (in some respects) the better.

Wow soulstorm is really pushing it but i reckon the new race will be tyranids. Air units?? fuckin awsome man i gatta watch this progress and an entire solar system to conquer hmm very very long campign. spring 2008 that like 9 months or summin till spring.
