Troop upgrades and weapons
 
Hey huys.Well here you talk about anything related to DC and troop upgrades and weapons.So feel free to say whats on your mind ?

Which weapons do you find effective against anything when is large numbers ?

grenade launchers, earth shaker cannon(on the bas),inferno cannon(on the hell hound) and the mighty bane for ig.

well, as weapon-unit distinctions got reduced since dow, everythink has it's uses.

jjust looking at marines

hb - high range high dmg
flamer - dancers love weapon
plasma - high accuracy on the move
rocket - well self explanatory.

Wait ,plasma high accuracy on the move ? Doesnt it say low accuracy on the move ? High accuracy when standing still ? Thats what I read in the description.

You noticed how some ppl for example dont use flamers at all or even if they do they use only like 1 flamer per squad ? I tried something new...I had about 10 SM squads with fully upgraded flamers....man you should have seen that.I was laughing my ass out...I was facing like a whole swarm of banshees which got screwed up in 1 sec.....all squads went to 0 morale and even SM basic weapons killed them fast....Try that and ure gonna laugh like crazy.:rofl:

I always give my scout sqauds at least one flamer. Does wonders.

Yeah I can dream off it.Who doesnt use flamers does not know how they work.Rofl for example if you have 5 sm squad ...give them all bolters lets say and 1 squad give flamers....enemy squads will instantly go to 0 morale.rofl......

I just havent figured out.....does Terminator dual flamer work as 5 normal flamers or....?

ok here is what i like to do when playing into the breach
depending on the enemy ill either go plasma gun's/hvy bolters on my marines and sit bak and shoot the piss outa shit.plasmas monster marines/chaos marines and tau cus there all hvy infantry if eldar/orks/guard ill go hvy bolters cus they smash em and ill make 2-4 scouts invisi and give them all flamers and when the come running through the breach the flamesr trash there morale and then the hvy bolters/plasma's open up..... oh yer :p

Also try using for your Marine Squads 2 HB and 2 PG and 1 Flamer...
ZOMG.....PWNS ANYTHING.....especially against a race who has mixed units suck as orks or eldar.....

Thats my addition.

But I like your tactic.

10 flamers, unless he was crazy you'd be dead.

Flamers are nice, but only in t1, t1.5 then most races get nonmorale meelee troops. and or will deploy from vehicles

and unless that eldar was stupid, he'd falconed in the banshees for shouting and harlequins for kissing

Hey wraith, for added fun, use entanglement, it does wonders with that banshee/quin combo. For ig, some say it's good to have squads equipped with the g launcher and the plasma, but i say diff. Have maybe 2 squads of guardsmen and the kasrkins with plasma, in the front line, each of them with a priest. Behind them, have maybe 2-3 guardmen, whatever you prefer, and give them the launchers. Trust me, it'll work wonders.
