CS:S lagging with bots
 

This is really weird, and I dunno if anyone else has this problem.

I start a normal LAN server with about 5 other bots and I start lagging for some dumb reason. But the weird thing is that when I'm online I can play in a server with 20+ people in it, even if they're bots.

And the other problem I have is the friends list, mine doesn't ever go, it doesn't even load. Does anyone else have this problem??

First of all with those bots try to reinstall the game and with friends it's always broke so dont mind that just contact your friends on msn ;)

How do I uninstall CS:S? Do I have to uninstall HL2 aswell as CS:S?

Maybe your pc isnt good enough to run bots? Problem with running bots is that the server (your pc?) must calculate the movements/actions of the bots. That usually consumes a lot of resources. When you are low on resources then things start to become laggy.

In this case the server (not your pc) is calculating the bots movements/actions, so it isnt causing problems for you...

"Friends" is still very buggy... i think most of us have this problem (i dont know anyone whow doesnt have probs with "friends").

My steam "Freinds" option always stays in offline mode I cannot get it to log on...who needs it anyway?

I wanted to use it in-game, instead of minimizing CSS to look at my Xfire.

Here's my specs anyway,

2.4ghz P4
512 ram
256mb Radeon 9600pro

I don't know any of the details exactly of the specs, I'm not really a whiz on a computer. :P

Yeah Bots take a lot from your CPU, when they're on your server, because your comp handles em.

I do advise you to use xfire because friends is always offline i think valve finally needs to fix it !!
