Hello,
I am Chris Barden of the 42nd, and I am trying to find some new recruits who want to get something out of their experience in a "clan" other than just gaming. I am forgoing a traditional recruitment post you might find for some other clan, or from another one of our proud members, to tell you about my experience.
I have been a member of the 42nd for what seems to be 5 years, but is actually only 5 1/2 months. I had found out about the 42nd about one year ago, while browsing for a gaming clan for Americas Army. Someone had replied to my friend's want ad, but I was the one who benefited from the post in the end! I started out by posting my recruitment application, and was waiting to join a boot-camp. I was very lucky to be able to play a couple of games with some of my newfound friends, but then America's Army updated to the new 2.7. I was bummed. My computer was a 5 year old (now 6) Compaq with only 256mb of pc133 ram (which is very expensive) and I was not able to play anymore except on 2.6. However, I stayed with the 42nd for a fun 6 1/2 months of not being able to play with any of the members, because at that time we were an "AA" only unit. Well, 6 months ago, the leaders decided to play on Counter-Strike: Source as well. We had several members, and "CS:S" was continually being patched, so that was an extra plus. I hurried out to our Target, and was miraculously able to buy CSS without my mom with me (I was just turning 15). I was so happy, I got home, installed it and re-posted my application. Well, then I had to wait around for a boot camp, which never came btw, but one of the leaders told me that I had been with them for long enough, that they weren't going to have a BC for CSS, and I was promoted. Ever since then, I have been a proud member, have been in our recruiting department, our boot camp department, and our famous "42nd Mythbusters", putting myths abouth AA and CSS to the test to see if they are fact, or fiction. Recently I was promoted wing sergeant of our CSS competition wing, and I hope to make some serious overhauling. I hope that you will read this post, and see that we are much more than just an ordinary clan. The reason I stayed in the 42nd as a recruit, was that I found some friends. They were good friends, and I know them even better now that I can play with them. If this is what you are looking for, visit our website today and learn even more about us.

More about the 42nd:
We have been around for over 3 years,
Our founding members resigned from the famous 75th Ranger Battalion in search of something more than a total realism unit,
We now play 5 games, America's Army (Thanks to Wheeler, I will soon be able to play again

, Counter-Strike: Source, Battlefield 2/ 2142, adn Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, and are actively recruiting for AA and CS:S but taking applications for BF2/2142.
We have a ranking system that is not based on kills, or your game stats, but are simple to show who is a leader and who is a member.
We are soon getting a server for CS:S, possibly with the popular WC3 mod.
We have a TeamSpeak server for communicating in-game,
And many more!
