Intel is head and shoulders above AMD in processors, don't even bother with AMD.

well i currently have an intel and it sucks but so dose the whole comp "thank the lord im getting a new one"

I meant to say the Intel duo core or quad core, I am sorry, that's what I meant to say, I didn't mean single cores.

Gigabyte GA-M59SLI, AMD\A64x2-4600,2GB Corsair 6400C4,GS7900 256MB

That's my box. And I have to play virtually all sliders on medium to get an average frame rate of low-to-mid twenties (except for Frozen World, which dips down to 6-8 FPS and is not even playable). Anything below the twenties on the Hard level, I consider unplayable.
