Crysis Confirmed Release Date [E3 07]

So I was watching G4TV. God help me but I try not to. I was only watching it because it was covering E3 2007. So I saw in there a little scroll bar on the bottom, their 'news ticker' saying Crytek and Ubisoft announced a release date of mid-September of 07 for Crysis. So we'll see. I doubt they'll make it, but I can always hope... Please hurry, Crytek! :D

So we seem to have a lot of big releases scheduled for that time frame. Halo 3, Crysis, Assassin's Creed, to name a few.

I don't know about the rest of you, but the only reason I'd buy Vista would be to play Crysis. Vista sales are depressing the PC market and many big name PC sellers [Dell, Alienware, Voodoo Extreme, CyberPower PC, ABS Computers, etc] have had customers specifically ask for their custom-made PCs to use XP and not Vista. Ha! But seriously, I've seen dozens of videos that run Crysis on a single 8800 GTX [not Ultra] and when you see those videos that run on Vista compared to the ones [like the 'Weapons' trailer from E3 07] that don't use it, the difference is slim. Basically what I see better in the Vista trailers are the enhanced soft shadows on volumetric lighting.

So I guess it's up to the person and how many games that will work [or stumble along with many crashes and lockups] with Vista and how much money they want to save by sticking with XP [still a great OS for games]. But I think I'll get Vista and have a dual-boot OS format for it, just collecting dust until Crysis comes [they recalled their release date [see previous thread in this section] and have said there is no release date, though they are further along 'that we anticipated to be.' So whatever that means...

first it WILL be released november 21st i saw that on game spotting. Vista isn't bad especially on a high end system. my computer runs like a dream with vista i can play hitman without looking down with the highest settings, i can play fear and farcry with the highest settings. Vista isn't as bad as everyone lets on. unless you want to play a 486 game on it that is.

You know that you get better FPS using XP over Vista right, even if you're using the EXACT same settings.
