Default Beneath Aztec

Does anyone know why there appears to a full city beneath the aztec map? When I die(frequently) I can move camera beneath aztec floor and see a mapped out level of temples and buildings etc. It's weird and I was wondering if anyone discusses the maps, customizing them etc.

that's the skybox, everything in it is what you see on the map itself... i don't know much more about it, but i'm pretty sure every map has one (whether or not it can be found)

if you go down farther than the skybox you should see de_aztec, or whatever map ur on, repeated. i have no idea why this exists, but you can't come in contact with anything on the map copies. and i think there is an unlimited number of them

the reason i mentioned the duplicates is because i wasn't certain of which one you were referring to: "a full city"

You are correct every map does have a skybox, some maps they are visable and some maps they are not, but skyboxes are always fun running through them while spectaiting, looks very interisting.
