Your opinions on console fanboys?

Unless you want there to be thousands of mods dedicated to joining your games to make sure bad stuff doesn't happen, or that all dialogue on XBL be recorded (which I'm pretty sure is illegal) then that'll never happen.

I really don't understand why people don't utilize the mute functionality on XBL, mods are unnecessary.

By the way, I hate fanboys in general. If you can't play your own game system without downing everyone else's (PC gamers count in this equation too), then you deserve death.... period.

I wasnt comparing PC fanboys to Console fanboys - although there are enough in both gaming communities... I was (and here is the point) stating my opinion that no matter what, a fanboy will always find some obscure, tiny detail that makes his / her; PC / Console / Sci Fi Show / what ever... better that anyone elses... Maybe the example I used was a little generic, sorry...

I really dislike console fanboys. All systems have their ups and downs. ^^ I also don't like when people rub their pc specs in your face. It's almost as ridiculous as getting your car decked out, just shows you need to get a life lol

Amen. It's all in your set-up/what you use if for the most. LOL What kinda annoys me about some gaming rig fanboys is how when their favorite game (which might have been exclusive to a their console; not giving names but you all know what they are) suddenly expands onto another platform and they start calling the developers/publishers traitors.

That one definitely gets me too. I'd never call a publisher a traitor for it, and I'm definitely favorable of that if a great exclusive gets put on my system as well, but I don't get mad when things go the other way.

There's money involved behind it, what would you expect?

The PC (im my opinion) is not a gaming console - yes it can be used to play games, but its not a console.

Gaming Consoles have one primary purpose, to play games - the PC, no matter how you spec it, can do so much more... Yes, the PS3 can browse the web, and it can do other cool stuff with Ubuntu, and all consoles, to my knowledge, since the PS2 / Xbox can play DVD / Bluray / HDDVD, but thats not the point, they are sold to the public on the strength of thier games... do you know anyone that bought an Xbox, just because it could play dvd...? Or a PS3 because it can be used (in a round about way) as a "PC"...? Me either...

The PC can do a hell of a lot more, hell, games developers use development rigs (PCs) to make games...

So sorry, I dissgree... I still like you though...

I've actually heard of people doing that because of how good the PS3's Blu-ray player is. I remember on G4's Attack of the Show, they were reviewing a Blu-ray player which was something like "the best ever" and apparently it's still just a little bit better than the PS3's Blu-ray player.

I also heard somewhere that with all of the PS3's functionality, Sony are able to update the player through software updates to keep up with newer, more expensive players with more features- in other words, the player is future-proof.

And as far as pricing goes, the PS3 is arguably a Blu-ray player with a free console included. As opposed to the other way around.

The main reason why PS3 Blu-Ray is better is because it has a faster Blu-Ray drive. It loads the disc in only 15 seconds as opposed to a standard Blu-Ray player (which is reported to take up to 2 minutes to load a Blu-Ray disc).
