Your opinions on console fanboys?

Yep, and dont forget you can still upgrade the hard drive. When PC's support blu-ray, then I will give them a second of my time. But Im tired of every new game costing me 50 bucks plus whatever upgrade costs I need to play the damn game.

Console is plug and play. Sweet and simple. Plus I can have my wife make me a sammich while I chill on my reclining couch and kill people.

Yep, I got to hand it to you, the old Lay-z-boy, sandwitch, COD4 combo - gets me every time...(now if I could get that bitch to stay in the kitchen...)

Nah - the plug and play aspect of console gaming is awesome, however, the ability of PC gamers to mod pretty much any game you have the skill do fiddle with / hardware to play, now that ladies and gentlemen is a deal maker...

But let's not forget that it is slowly becoming more popular for console games to have editors too. There's obviously Far Cry 2's editor, Halo 3's Forge, Little Big Planet's editor, and Super Smash Brothers Brawl's editor, among a very few others. If it means anything, all of those games have been released in the past two years.

I should just mention though, console games don't allow mods because people are going to cheat with them- anyone who would have gotten a mod into a console game wouldn't do all of that work and not abuse it. So instead, downloadable content is made by whoever developed the game, and it usually costs some money too. Just one of the downsides to being a console gamer.

not necessarily, the ps3 version of UT3 lets you download mods for it just fine.

...I forgot about that. I heard about it a while back, before the game released, but forgot because I'm not a fan of those seemingly "deathmatch only" sort of games.

Is this a PC vs Console thing now? I read from the start and I couldn't help but notice the deviation. Anyway, console fanboys, well... gaming system fanboys in general are always trying to end the discussion with a 1up in favor of their loved system. Kinda annoying really. I always ask myself: Why? Why try so hard? It's a piece of electronic equipment. Does it really matter if someone disses what gaming rig you have? Do you have to retaliate every single time? Life is sad.

you are right though the.underdark - console fanboys (as oposed to actual console gamers) will always find a way for thier system to be so much better than everyone elses...be it "my system has a squillion and one gig gpu... yours only has a squillion..."

and, theres never anything wrong with a little deviation now and then...
