Your opinions on console fanboys?

Computer fps games don't even exist anymore, those on the pc are only ports of the console versions.

PC's and consoles cannot be compared because consoles do what they are designed for, and PC's do what they are designed for, but PC's are designed to do much more.

And that is why the PC ultimately leaves more options for gaming.

But that said, consoles (specifically the PS3) can offer a lot of the features of a PC without the hassle of setting it all up. Consoles are just one standard bundle of technology, and the developers need to make their games work on your console, as opposed to you making your computer work with their games. And getting a newer console costs about as much as getting one new piece of hardware for a PC.

I should mention that the PS3 lets you install Ubuntu as your secondary operating system.

I'm just going to throw my opinion out here. I can't understand why someone would prefer a PC for gaming over a console. If there's one thing I like about consoles, it's putting the game in, sitting down on my couch with a controller in my hand and just going into the game. Holy shit, with the PC I have the adjust the settings, make sure the graphics aren't overloading my computer, I have to update it 24/7 whether it's the latest version of chat, Directx, whatever. I have to worry about people trying to give me hacks, the game trying to close because I didn't do something right, etc.

One of the biggest parts for me is installing it, though, I have to sit through hours of that crap. With a console, I can just put the game in and play.

I used to be a "live by the PC - die by the PC" guy, until about a year ago. I got so damn tired of every new game requiring higher specs, I cant keep upgrading my machine. Dont have the time or desire or the money. So I went to the PS3. I know any game will work, I know I wont have a windows compatibility issue, and the screen is now WAY bigger than a computer.

Im not a fanboy who wears a T-shirt with a picture of my PS3 on it, but I like it.

My attitude about consoles is that you get mostly the same exact game, without needing to upgrade every year. A high-end video card can cost more than a PlayStation 3, and yet with the PS3, you still get:

-HDMI
-One of the best Blu-ray players available (which is designed to be upgradeable as new standalone players release with new features)
-->Considering the amount of memory on a Blu-ray disc, you PC gamers can have fun putting in five separate discs to install a game, because I'll only need one
-Mouse and keyboard support for games like Resistance, Killzone 2, and UT3
-The ability to attach an external hard drive for more memory
-The ability to install Ubuntu as your secondary OS (essentially turning the PS3 into a PC)

Just to name a few of your options.
