The rest of what you said was pretty much wrong all around so i wont bother ripping into it. This is what im talking about when i say people get on forums and fill the place up with either blatantly wrong misinformation, or garbage they speculate on the spot without knowing anything about it. |

I said this in another thread but I must say again. I saw a Blu-Ray and a HD DvD video one after the other on the same 61" DLP 1080P Television and let me tell you if you can tell a difference in the quality of the picture you should get a one big ass cookie cause I sure as hell couldnt..neither any of my friends. Blu-Ray to my opinion is basically bragging rights. Though Blu-Ray picture Quality is no where near the $500 worth you pay for one of there players, the 50GB space on the disc is its greatest strength. I'm sure PS3 will have many MMORPG's in the future because of this. |
well the big diff between blue-ray and HD DVD is one HD DVD is not in 1080 i believe, and frankly the only commercial ive seen for an HD DVD is 300 which is also in blue-ray while ive seen tons of other adds for blue-ray o andI saac2pointO i have no idea what your talking about cus my ps3 deff came with a usb cable |
I agree completely. The difference, picture wise between HD-DVD and Bluray is so miniscule it might as well not exist. The graphical difference between the 2 consoles in terms of games is practically dead even when developers actually take advantage of the systems power. There are a number of games on the 360 i am eagerly awaiting Bioshock among them (hell i still play the shiat out of dead rising, one my favs of all time.) |

And no, the next big game is Bioshock(another great fps the Ps3 doesn't get to see). Followed by Halo 3 and Army of 2. Quote:
You didn't buy the console, you bought the brand. Which is exactly what Sony was hoping people like you would do when their marketing went down the shitter and they lost all their decent exclusive titles. I like how you brush everything everyone has said to you off to one side as "misinformation" or "wrong" because you can't argue the points. Facts don't cease to exist just because they are ignored. |
At the moment i think its too early to jduge which is better because of the fact that the Xbox has a years head start so its had more time for games to be developed and for developers to get to grips with the system. |
Whats to argue? Killzone isnt anything special, neither was Halo. Halo became successful because it had excellent multiplayer especially in a dorm environment. It was easy to learn, easy to play. But truthfully, it didnt add anything the FPS community hadnt already either seen or been doing for the past few years anyway. It made repeated use of the same textures and had 'blah' AI. Halo 2 was probably the most overhyped game of its time but thats a personal opinion. Just because obnoxious 9 year olds love playing the shiat out of a game doesnt mean the game is some ground breaking masterpiece of genre defining excellence. In regards to exclusivity, nobody said Final Fantasy XIII was going to be exclusive..oh wait, yes it is. to the PS3. maybe Final Fantasy XIV will be for the 360...considering the Xbox complete lack of success whatsoever in Japan and Square-enix' vast Japanese library, this isnt exactly a sure thing. i wouldnt hold my breath. And everybody has known Resident evil 5 was going to be cross platform. That was announced the minute the teaser trailer was announced so dont act like its exclusive to ANY console. Misinformation is misinformation. If its blatantly wrong the point doesnt have to be argued because the truth is easy to find out on your own. If however you need me to baby step you through the process: Final Fantasy series IGN: Final Fantasy XIII Preview Resident Evil 5 IGN: New Resident Evil 5 Details You got anything else you want to add? |
you know i enjoyed killzone quite a bit. Halo i found to be a standard shooter where you just ran and shoot with strategy minimal, ridiculously easy AI. Now with killzone it was one of the first shooters where i actually have to use cover if i don't want to die in 5 secs and with smart AI where one would draw your fire while 3 others would sneak around behind you and shoot you. Why halo is the fav ill never know |

Yes. Those two links don't mean anything. What's your point here? The final fantasy one says "It will be appearing on the Ps3". Well..who would have expected that when you're reading an article in the PS3 SECTION on IGN? Nothing about it being exclusive to the Ps3 is mentioned as far as I can see. |
you know for all you people complaining about the price and how HD DVD > Blue-Ray let me just say this. To even be able to play HD DVD you need to buy the drive for $180, now lets pare this cost with the system cus this is always one of the first things bought and ushully at the same time you buy the system Xbox 360 Core System (which some stores dont even carry any more) - $280 HD DVD player - $180 total - $460 Xbox 360 Pro - $350 HD DVD player - $180 total - $530 Halo 3 Limited Edition Xbox 360 - $400 HD DVD player - $180 total - 580 Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite - $450 HD DVD player - $180 total - $630 as you can see it adds up quickly and thats with out live, the bigger hard drive or any other add ons so i say whats the cheaper system now |
