Default First, Second and Third Phase Alternatice Choice Units

Whether it be desperation or for tactical advantage I seldom use these units:

BMW (Motor Bikes)
PUMAS
Ostwinds

I find it wasteful to choose these Units because they offer limited support. I use them when in pinch and I realized that its an indication that I've fallen aback to far.

Now I'm wandering... Why would you use these units anyway? Is it because they're cheaper? Faster? Stronger?

Your opinion will be greatly thanked for. Especially when its helpful.

I don't us the motorbike either, the fact that it's very weak and can't reverse puts me off it entirely.

The Puma is simply awesome, and especially when fighting against the US where tank spam isn't the "play of the day", it's a lifesaver. It's simply awesome against infantry, and even quite a match for lone AT guns. I can even take out Rangers pretty well just by keeping out of the range of their bazookas, it's only RR'd Airborne and Tanks that particulary worry me. Early game i got for it quick, and especially since it's relatively cheap i can buy one without too much effort. In short their pretty useful until late game when the heavier armour comes out, and they pawn infantry like no tomorrow.

The Ostwind is quite simply the Pumas bigger, meaner brother with prison tats. It's better armoured, has a hull MG, actually semi effective against light armour, and still makes life hell for those allied infantry. The benefit of the Ostwind is that it can take a beating from Rangers due to it using Panzer IV armour, and it's shell impacts scatter infantry, which means the targeted infantry need time to recover before they can fire off their AT weapons. When you take into account the Ostwind fires a shot every second, even a squad with 2-3 AT weapons can find it difficult to take an Ostwind out.

Can Pumas and Ostwinds counter AT spams? I use them Pumas and Ostwinds seldom, I know the Ostwind is awesome but the PUMA? So can Ostwinds and Pumas handle a pack of American ATs? I mean Allied ATs are like snipers if you ask me. (Now you see me , now you don't cause im outta your field of vision.)
