Maybe. Its just really sad when the description says (see Manual of your original COH/COH:OF) more powerful units but more expensive. The new patch seems to have made the Wermacht brittle as peanut brittle. One moment they're fighting like hell another dies like in hell. Or maybe its because the whole thing is screwed up. The enemy gains resources at the speed of light. One moment your fighting infantry, then at a wink of an eye you see a dozen tanks crawl up from no where. ( I say the enemy gains much faster than you is because I had seen it with my own eyes... Recorded Game.) Maybe just maybe. Sometimes I just tell myself to give a prognosis on the chances of winning, is it hard or next to impossible? And finally you gain the veterancy you need... Its too late. Well its not over yet. I guess. Its kinda screwed up though. Maybe just maybe.

How ever in my opinion the Axis is over powered and seems to be easy to use for a lot of people....so I really would not care if this is true. ...

The reason why Axis seems to be overpowered and so popular is because all their units are pretty straight forward and easy to use, involving usually no micro to use them. As for their popularity, well who doesn't want to use all the exotic and famous weaponry used by the Germans? The Tigers, Flak 88, MG42's...the list can go on.

It's really all about strategy and technique, if you are a battle-harded veteran who's seen it all (like me) you should know what works and what doesn't, you should know that the Wehr are weak in early game and need to tech up too get to there good bits, (for example) when the Sturm armory is up proceed to building Pumas and right after Paks, grenadiers w/LMG's will do a decent job of fighting of Brit/US troops but pumas will RIP THE ALLIED TROOPS TO SHREDS so don't upgrade them.

when you get your panzer-command get some heavy armor out, PzIVs and 1-2 Panthers will take care of any M8/Stuart spams, if they are pushing with inf.. GET THE LEAD OUT and make KCHs and Ostwinds.

Also, if your a begginer to the game make sure you get to know a doctrine before switching to another or you will be toast, I myself am a terror player and (among my piers) have become infamous for the KT/Support rush, but when I choose blitz, my strategy falls apart.

so fact of the mater is, it's only overpowered/underpowered if you know/ don't know what you are doing.

Funny that someone would dig this thread up, i I got to thank you for that though. Anyways, I'm already somewhat okay dealing with the patch fixes. I'm still upset with how fast the AI garners manpower ( i think the plus in AI manpower is too much, must be for the British and P.E cause either they're expensive or too many to choose from.) And I am not a full on offensive player rather a defensive-offensive type, I think PUMAS, BMWs and Ostwinds are useless. So far though I'm alright. Although my biggest problem is the AT of americans! AT SHEIBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are wondering how to get rid of them AT cannons you have a dozen possible strategies, for one you could hit them with a neb-strike or a firestorm and turn the crews into toast, if your more strait-forward a Ostwind flank panzer will do the trick, if he has infantry support with decent AT guarding the 57mm try combining them in a barrage/Ostwind rush the Arty will kill/supress the infantry while the ostwind flanks the guns, if you are more passive.. Sniper SNIPER SNIPER SNIPER!!!

...well I could go on and on but, it's really up to you and the situation you are in.
