Rankings - fascinating discovery I was idly looking thru the pairs rankings when it struck me that the stats to level ratio was not simply a win-loss ratio. For instance Havoc28 has a 20 - 25 record and is level 6, Hardboiled has a 28 - 20 record and is level 5. This is just a for instance of stacks like that. Since clearly levels are not worked out according to games won and lost, does anyone know how they are evaluated because now I am truly intrigued. I have not looked at singles ratings but will do so just now, the whole thing has me fascinated! I cannot find any statistical thread and I am a mathematician (which I suppose it really has me most intrigued). Who could I even find out from I wonder? |
Your sort of right there; Your sort of right there, the game does work on a win to loss ratio but once you get up to a level you cant move down to the level below, even if your win to loss ratio does go down. (I think). |
Come on you stats guys OK guys come on help out here you stats guys - last night I (JuliaE and yes I am female) played really rubbish, let my partner down like a level 1 player and we lost - 12 - 13 record and stayed level 5. Now tonight I mesh well with partner, we play well and win, hence 13 - 13, all of a sudden I see I have been pushed to level 6 !!!!!!!! There are level 4 and 5 players with better win - loss ratios than that so this ranking definitely not depend on win/loss ratios, they are taking into account score anaysis or something. I WANT TO KNOW!!!! |
