Mapmakers deserve some feedback

I just recently counted about 40 maps that I have downloaded. They have given me and others endless hours of enjoyment on my own or on LAN. I was also horrified that in all but about 3 cases I have never bothered to go back and leave a rating and/or short comment. There are probably many like me and for all they give to us by way of variety, entertainment and downright fun I think the very least we can do (not for every map but for those which have caught our attention) is to go back and let them know (in whatever way you see fit) that we appreciate what they do for us. Being a programmer myself I know that a word of thanks from a client for an update or whatever is worth more to me than the money that accrues from the programs I write for them. I think it's called the "feel-good factor", even a constuctive criticism is great since it helps improve research and skills.

you're so true...map makers are busy for like 2 months making one single map...then it's very nice to them and it's not hard to say how great it is...unfortunatly i don't comment myself because i just forget but from now on i will try to comment every single thing
