As the game game includes the Pershing, which saw very limited service toward the end of the war, I would like to see the German protoype heavy tank in action (which it never was). It was to be the Panzer Mark VII (forget the nickname), and it would be the most heavily armed and armoured tank ever seen. Pictures I've seen of it have it looking like a mobile pillbox, with only the base of the treads visible. That would throw balance of play. As for this Sherman Vs Tiger debate. The Sherman was Medium tank and undergunned at firtst. When the gun was upgraded to the 90mm AT gun, it became a Tiger-Killer. The Tiger itself had begun design in 1941, hence its' boxy shape, and it was regarded fairly disdainfully by Commanders of Armoured Divisions (eg. Lt.Col. Hans Joachim Peiper) as it was bvery heavy, underpowered and a real fuel-guzzler. The Sherman, on the other hand was loved by tankies ('cept for the early versions, whose engine's had a bad habit of bursting into flames at a near miss). I think the game treats them quite fairly as they stand.

I love that. Why does CoH rip off money? It never promises that ALLIED TANK WILL NOT BE OWNED BY GERMAN. Infantry don't have an impact on the game? Ever heard of capturing points? Sorry guys, I just re-read this and it pissed me off. Some people are just so stupid sometimes...

And I'll say it again.

ALLIED TANKS DID GET RAPED BY GERMAN, SO STOP BLOOMING MOANING.

He meant the Panzerkampfwagen VII "Maus" .....
it was a real steelmonster, the gun-turret alone weights more than a complete Panther V, the maingun was a 128 mm KwK which could penetrate the frontal armor of a Sherman, T34/85 or JS-2 at a range of 3500m. Secondary koaxial gun was a 7,5 cm KwK and a MG34 for close combat.

ingame an elite tiger without pioneers has no chance against 2 american AT-Guns... they can even penetrate the frontal armor of a tiger while they can't be destroyed even by a direct hit of the 88. It's not right, but fact...

LOL here's an idea...learn to play RTS games then ya earned the right to twist....pmsl....as for the tank issue, well thats psuedo realistic as german tanks OWNED the yanks with their weaker guns n armour.

If ya want unit balancing in a realistic enviroment, go for C&C games, cos they just change the 3dmodels and jiggle stats, at least COH stands out with TRUE tactical changes based on side you choose. My ONLY complaint is the lack of a Axis campaign so can wipe the yanks out before they get off Omaha, unlike Hitler....lol (and no I aint GERMAN OR A NAZI LOVER BEFORE YA SAY IT)

During the war the ratio of allied tanks destroyed by axis armor compared to axis tanks destroyed by allied armor was 5:1, so yes they actually toned down the strength of the panther.

and it's a lil dumb that 3 kilos of explosives (read satchel) cant destroy tanks engine... I threw it on stug from behind, he did lost some HP, but no "structural" damage...
As the other thing, it's a lil sad that panzershrek and bazooka ussualy miss tanks and they do so lil dmg that only use for it can be against troop transport, jeep or motorcycle and lightly armored vehicles (puma etc...). 2 Ranger squads get owned by stug.. that's only thing I hate bcause there's no point for AT weapons on infantry cause the only good use of it is to kill other inf. in structures.
