C&C Renegade problem... Please help!

OK... Here's the problem... Me and my sister are always C&C Renegade on Multi-Player and my sister always plays as the GDI shotgun guy... She calls him "Doom" (To make it clearer "Doom Guy")... And I have got an idea, that I could retexture him to look like Doom Guy and make the sound of the shotgun sound like in Classic Doom... OK... The texture is done... The only difference between the changed and the original version is the filesize (I think)...
So I put the retextured shotgun guy into my "Data" folder (The Image is converted to dds by DDS Converter 2 (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads10...verter_v21.zip) ) And when I start the game, and "buy" the shotgun character he is not green and grey as he was supposed to... Guess what, he's black like a silhouette... Please help...

Is he black like a silhouette as he is in the regular version? (without a change of texture?) Or is this a completely different portrait that you have no idea where it came from?

He is only black with the changed texture. The regular version looks normal...

Ok, it is perhaps the pixel format you used? I see that Renegade used DXT1 and DXT5, but no DXT3. I'm not sure which version 1a or 1c though.
