i loged on to the orginal generals and there were only 33 ppl online and on zh there where 55 :mad: is it just me or are these games dying has any 1 herd anything about possible patches expansions new games or has ea completly abanded the cnc serios

I (meaning me) and 3 other people (I won't call them freinds) can't actually play online. The game is just stupidly laggy. We've all got routers so disconnected them and did a straight ethernet connection. Still intolerably laggy. Heard a couple of other people had the same problems, we just LAN it and works fine. Boring game know, really boring, almost as bad as Planetside. There are plenty more original games out like Perimeter from Codemasters. The game isn't too great but it added some nice touches to the genre know. You even get to use strategy (in a strategy game, it's almost unheard of).

But, in conclusion, I'd have to admit that Generals died a long time ago. Still some nerds hanging around making mods, but not even another (lame) add-on pack can't save it.

Ill most likely keep playing it there still are a lot of ppl online on zh and i still have a buddy who is making maps still like my new sig? :naughty:

You guys were on at the wrong time. I played regular Generals at 1:00 A.M. and only 15 people were logged on. Everyone said no one was there because everyone was tired. If you log on at night few people are there.

generals is far from dead i mean all you need to do is look at this forum
along with cod and a few others its the one of most active game forums here.
the main problem is not everyone has a good net connection to play on (for instance me 56.k dialup) so cant play online i still get to play lan fairly often and me and my friends really enjoy it (the games often go for 3 or more hours (to use an aoe term we are empire builders)
if its only 2 or 3 of us we play against the computer but the 6-7 person games are the best!!!

hmmm.... think this game is going to die soon.... veryone wo play it for half a year will sure to get sick of it unless u dont meet noobs.....
(noobs are not counted as people..lolz)
