What is this building 1 Attachment(s) This is a capturable building but has no use. What is it used for? I think it was part of a missle launch thinge that was probably thrown out. What is it? |

Re: What is this building Well maybe if you are a good skinner you could seperate the towers form the building and make a new building. I've seen nuker do something like this with the tomahawk storm where he removed the GLA flag from it |

Re: What is this building I have seen a mod map using this building before. It was on a map if you capture it and a missile silo (the one from the last GLA mission in original Generals) You can launch a nuke from the silo using the building. |

Re: What is this building Just import the W3D object in GMAX, make the towers free of the rest, export to W3D. Then make your own building and import the W3D of the tower. Texture settings are saved so you don't have to reskin. Quote:

Re: What is this building I do beleive JP asked ever so nicely to remain on topic, so play nice mmmm-kay? BTW, mercz, when you said that Nuker made the tomahak storm by modding the Scud storm, nooope, EA gets the credit for that one. Its an Alpha model that is in your game but not enabled. |

Re: What is this building yeah, a bit like the strange radio-shack like building in mods where u can summon a napalm strike from. Called a (something) center i believe. They dont seem to keep the same function when they are in different mods. |
Re: What is this building The building in the pic was used in the last GLA level in regular Gen. You capture it and the missle you win the level. Well I am not sure if there is an animation for the missile to land in-game however it is possible to use both buildings in conjunction with each other and the missles can be launced for the silo. I think you cna modify it so that a Nuclear missle comes from the silo however, I don't think you can have a large spread Anthrax missle like the one in the GLA ending. I don't know how to mod, but if you know INI coding and think you can do it go for it. As I said before there was a level I played that allowed you to launch nukes from the silo however the timer was long. I belive it was called Nuclear Winter or something with Nuclear in its name. |
Re: What is this building That nuke from the final GLA mission is COOL. It's like a cluster missile, before it impacts, it falls apart in 3 seperate parts... Sounds tough to mod... |
