Goddamn Relic Downloader

Ok, so im downloading a 1.34 mb patch for COH, and it keeps giving me a "hard drive full" error, even when the E:\ drive I installed COH on has about 120 something gigs left, and the regular C:\ drive has like 2 and a half gigs left. Anyone know how to solve this?

Try downloading the patches manually from CoHPatch or a reputable website (i don't mind GamersHell myself)

If it's anything like DOW, then it needs to unpack all the sga's during the installation of the patch, and that can take a whole load of space. And it might be using the c:\ drive (system drive I presume) as a temp drive for it.
Try freeing it up till you have about 5 gigs or so on there.

What about looking at the file extention of the file?
It's most likely going to be rar - i.e. after you check winrar or 7-zip

Re: Goddamn Relic Downloader

The file is probably either a .rar (as Angel suggusted), or a .torrent file, which is was Relic is hosting these days. If it's a .torrent file, you'll have to fine a torrent program on the net through a search, i can't recommend any to you as i avoid them like the plague.

Actually they are self extracting EXEs...
Which creates a drama as EXEs use Rundll32.dll in combination with explorer.exe hooks to run.
