Help with accounts

My friend just bought Tales of Valor, he was really excited to play it, so he made a new account (his account) on my computer to play it. For some reason, I can log into his account fine on my computer, but at his house it says "The username and password you have entered are invalid. Please try again." We made sure, and he is typing everything in exactly right. Do accounts only work for the computer they are made on? Please help.
