Custom Map Crashing, Need Help
 

Ok i have downloaded a few custom maps for the original Company of Heroes and i have extracted their files into the mp folder and i changed the target name with the -dev but when i click to play the map it only downloads halfway then crashes back to the menu.....is there something i can do to fix this problem?

It could be a number of issues;

1. What version of the game are your running?
2. What version of the game was the map made for?
3. Are your trying to run it with a mod?
4. Is the map designed for a specific mod?
5. Are there more than ~30 characters in the map's description? (v2.5+)
6. Does the map have any SCAR coding (scripting)?

There's many, many variables that could cause issues, if you've updated to the latest version (AFAIK it's v2.502), then i'd just forget about older maps and just play the ones that work and download ones that are advertised to work with v2.5.
