| Sorry if this has been debated to death... but I did a search for ‘armor mod’, and got only 3 irrelevant hits, so… I’m rather fond of playing the German teams, but get frustrated at my Panthers trading shots for five minutes with Shermans. The M4 Sherman was a medium tank (30.3 tonnes) designed for use against threats in 1940, with emphasis placed on speed and lightness (for transport issues, bridge crossing, etc). They were significantly inferior to their German counterparts by 1943; being both inadequately armored and armed (The US 3rd Armored Division reported a 580% medium tank loss rate). They stayed in service throughout the war despite their reputation as being ‘death traps’… because General Patton decided this tank would use its speed to circumvent heavy opposition, and never need to engage enemy armor (Patton, not un-coincidentally, would end up being one of the few supporters of this tank after the war). Sherman crews had been told prior to Normandy that the Sherman was the best tank in the world. The Panzerkampfwagen V Panther was a medium (44.8 tonnes, heavy by US standards) tank with sloped armor and high-velocity armament. They handedly dominated armored engagements until encountering the Soviet Stalin tank (IS-1) in 1944. Their only weakness was thinner side armor (40-50 mm, reduced to conserve weight)—but even then it would require a close-range shot of the Sherman’s 76mm to produce effective penetration. What I’m looking for is a mod that accurately addresses the service histories of these tanks. Sherman vs. Panther = letters written by the Company Commander to the families of the deceased Sherman tank crewers. Instead, I see my Panthers putting six or more side and rear shots into a Sherman, which might kill it before it zips away, then having to pull back my armor for repairs. Numbers should be required when American armor faces German, as they simply could not engage on equal terms (the Patton series would change that, allowing the US an equivalent to the Panther… but the M26 is not the main battle tank in Company of Heroes, so…). Anyone know of a mod that addressed armor inconsistencies? Perhaps that also attempts to globally correct inaccurate weapon depictions/ranges? Preferably, one that incorporated English… Cheers. |

| There's lots of Realism mods about, even one or two that'll work with CoH v2.xxx and/or Opposing Fronts. Best to doa Google for CoH sites that might have some, or Peek into the Armoury section here; Company of Heroes – RelicNews Forums

| You could try out Corsix mod studio, and change those things your self, a bit of work to get it right(trust me) but then you got balancing issues and then you might as well change all the weps. |

| All you really should need to change is each weapons range, damage and penetration values, and perhaps speed too.
