Default -Storyline for New COH Mod- (RECRUITING)

-Entry One-
May 12th, 2017 A.D
The year is 2017. It has been only two days after "They" arrived. It started about four days ago when our solar monitoring satellites had detected an abnormal rise in solar activity. We thought it was a peak in the season solar storms, but before we could have analyzed these readings, one of our visual satellites aimed at our sun took photos of a group of unidentified objects on vector for Earth. A closer visual of these objects indicated they were man-made and approximately ten times the size of Manhattan Island, a sign of extra-terrestrial intelligence. While military readiness level was raised, our allies contacted, and defunct missile silos made ready for operation, word got out to the public, needless to say, panic ensued. When "They" arrived above orbit, we couldn't move the civilian population away from urban as the riots were still marching on the streets. Without warning, "They" opened fire. Targeting our major cities, over a billion people were gone in a bright flash, including Washington, where our President resided. We retaliated with an arsenal of nuclear weapons, dropping their numbers to an estimated five ships before our satellite grid had been wiped out.


-Entry Two-
May 13th 2017
We've been gathering reports from remaining UAVs still in the air that civilians are being taken into the ships. All five have landed, one on a continent, Asia, Europe, North and South America and Africa. There has been reports from McMurdo Station, no alien activity has arrived on Antarctica, and all we know of Australia is that it has been completely wiped out. What remains of our Air Force are hiding in underground bunkers, only engaing in hit and run tactics against enemy ground forces. On that note, enemy ground forces have been tearing down remains of major population centers while constructing a large building in there place. The American capital has been relocated to Colorado Springs, where both the Peterson Airforce Base and the Cheyenne Mountain Complex reside.

- Wait, wait, I got. Captain lets go!

- Its part of network that takes us to a underground rail system directly to a base in Nevada.

This will be a mod between two factions:
The remaining Earth Allied Forces
&
The Forces of "They" on Earth
The Earth Forces (us) would be similar to modern infantry, except the units would look a bit more advanced. The alien forces would be of course, very alien. They would possess powerful energy/particle weapons but would be balanced out with the Earth Forces

You don't really need to post 3 replies. You can just use Edit. Anyways back on the topic. This is for COH , right? Just getting the facts straight... Modern warfare using COH?

This is a mod for COH, but only one faction are the "modern infantry", the other faction is an alien race invading.
This mod is set in an apocalyptic or post-apocalyptic environment happening around the world.
This mod also needs more modders for work to progress. Contact me if you wish to help. Specifically, I require modeler to help get work progressing, as I'm not a very proficient modeler.

The Aliens would feature very advanced weaponry and hopefully, large and cumbersome machines with strong armor and powerful weapons. Humans, however would be balanced with numbers and firepower, but infantry with weak weapons (M4s, smgs, etc.) You would also be able to have weak "survivors" of the alien onslaught. They will be cheaply trained and able to reinforce form locations across the map. Also, humans will have mobile artillery with quick reload, long range and ranging from rocket artillery (M270 MRLS) to artillery like the howitzer, these types of artillery would be on the map. Maps would also be significantly larger to play in with and larger amounts of units.

Progress, well, I just got my hands on Oblivion, I know its an older game (3 years!), but I read the reviews, and decided to try it. Simply, it's addicting, but I will continue to work on the mod.
