[Help] patch help please help me

ok so i have played cod4 in some years now and wanted to join a clan so i found 1 named hitman clan and then i got xfire and one of the most downloaded was patches so i downloaded all up to 1,7 and i dont find the servers i did b4 like hitman clan and now i cant play with my friend so im begging all of u to help me to get known wich patch is following the cd and how to get it plz help

Now you've updated the game to v1.7 means you can only play on servers that are also 1.7, their server is 1.2

Fix.. = Backup your players folder and uninstall, deleted the game directory left over (default XP - C:\Program Files\Activision). Reinstall the game and patch it to 1.2
