[Help] Cod4 multiplayer

I have cod4 for ps3
And I played it all day, but then I quited for a long time...
And now, I want to play again but if I go on multiplayer , it blocks and if I choose find a game the playlist doesn't show up and it stands 'downloading game settings...' all the time and it doesn't stop, and then I need to restart, but it's always the same problem, single goes very good, and if friend invites me and I say yes , again 'downloading game settings...'. I can't do private match either, From Multiplayer mode it blocks .. I'm desperate. Pleaseee help me

hey can i ak have you find out how to sort the problem becaue i have the same problem i just install new graphic card and new power drive and and when i go on singer player its work find and at first the mutiplay work fine but on the second day i can't open it its said " the last time cod4 didt quit proberly" and iw3mp.exe has stopped working i just don't know what to do if you found out how to fix it can you e-mail me please coz i don't come on this site just register to ask for ur help.
