everytime i try connecting to a server it keeps going to the connection count down then says server timed out help please i dont know what info to give so ask

Im getting Error" server connection times out

this happens after about 10-13 second countdown.. i dunno what the hell to do lol.. The only thing I did differently during the installation was Instead of downloading it to my c drive i put it on my f drive in some random folder i found. Could this have anything to do with the issue and did you guys pick your own folder destination too?

Do you think maybe we have to download some patch? I mean the games brand new but im just throwing ideas out there.

i figured it out u have to enable DMZ on your router
i know withy mine u have to type in 192.168.2.1 in the address bar under game applications enable DMZ and for ip put your ip addy in if u dont know how to get that go to RUN type cmd and then ipconfig mine is a linksey so i hope it work u all but u will still get alot of server time outs there seems to be a few bugs

I have same problem, the way i got around it was while it says awaiting conection bring down the console and type /reconnect and when the counter hits 9/10 hit enter, i normaly only have to do this 2 or 3 times and im connected. but will look into the DMZ fix above

The solution is very simple. open console (~)
then typein cl_connectionAttempts 30
by default its 10 change it to 30 and hit Enter
and try to connect , this should work like a charm

try updating your motherboard drivers, including network controller, it solved it for me, and if you have nForce network controller, enable FirstPacket in your First Packet settings and in the prioritized tab make sure cod 4 is in your list, hope this helps
