Are mods like this possible?

Are mods that add but not take away weapons, expand custom class limits, add perks and explosives, and add attachments possible with COD4? If so have any big mods been announced that add lots of weapons and things?

With the limits that cod4 has you cant "add" weapons. You can however replace weapons with other weapons. For example...with the mod our server has I have replaced the m4 grenade launcher with the m4 eotech site from single player, the m21 has been replaced by the silenced ghillie m21 from single player, m4 reflex replaced with the m4 aimpoint from single player, g36c grenade launcher has been replaced by the m4 sopmod, although they are disabled on our server the rpg has been replaced by the at4 from single player. So you can have multiple attachments but you cant actually choose the ones you want. You can only use what is already in the game. I would also like to mention that you can fly the AC-130 gunship too with this mod IF you can get the killstreak to earn it. And if you are really dam good and can get a 20 killstreak you earn a NUCLEAR airstrike. If you want more info just add me on xfire...redrock2002.

ok so you can replace guns with custom guns of your choice but you can't completely add new guns. Makes sense

With most games the only way to get your models into the game is through Trial Modding, which is taking an existing model in the game and modifying it to your will.

Does the nuke airstrike use the nuke in the campaign? Either way, do you see it possible to make a "portable nuke" with the same fashion? Perhaps you could make the grenade launcher a nuke with some in depth hex editing but the particle system would not look quite right.
