Re: COD2 library not found in windows 7. When exactly do you get this error? When trying to install the game, during the installation process, when trying to play the game or at some other point? |

Re: COD2 library not found in windows 7. Okay. Don't try to install the game using a pop-up launcher. Instead, go to My Computer, access your disc drive from there by right-clicking on the appropriate icon and choosing Open. That should show you the content of the game's installation disc (make sure it's in the drive, of course). Now, find the file called setup.exe. Right-click on it and choose Properties. Go to Compatibility tab. Enable Compatibility mode and set it for Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or 3). From the fields below, opt to disable visual themes and desktop composition. At the bottom, enable the option that says "Run this program as an administrator". Click OK to save the changes. Spoiler: Now, run the installation by double-clicking setup.exe file. Does it work now? |
