Call of Duty Multiplayer freezes at startup(Not Responding)

Hello!

I have a problem with Call of Duty 2 Multiplayer. I've checked some other topics but none of them produced a solution and my problem is a wee bit different than the others.
It's like this:
When I double-click the Call of Duty Multiplayer icon on the Desktop it starts the loading screen and before the screen goes black to go to full screen it freezes. So I do not get a black screen even and then freeze, but earlier and no errors pop up either. Just freezes and then I use the Task Manager to find that Call of Duty 2 Multiplayer is not responding, only thing left is that I stop the process.

I've tried re-installing, changing video resolutions in single player mode, turned anti-aliasing on/off, rebooting, etc. and still the same.

It worked fine for me like 2 months ago and then I had to move, here on the new location I had no internet connection for a while and for the time being I reinstalled cod2 so I could play SP, now I got the internet connection and this happens >.<

I'd be most thankful if anyone can provide some answers.

P.S. Should changing options in NVIDIA Control Panel make any difference?

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+ 2,21Ghz
NVidia GeForce 7300 GS 512MB
1,5GB RAM

omg i have the same excact problem.If anyone is reading this can u please respond ASAP.Well ive tried to start up cod 2 mp on vista but as soon as it starts 5 secs later it says NOT RESPONDING. singleplayer is 100% and i have no idea what the problem is so PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!

I have the same problem this only happened to me when i reset my PC back to Default Settings when i pressed ALT & F10 at the start up of the PC !

with-in 5 seconds of launching Call of Duty 2 Multiplayer it says " Call Of Duty 2 MP is Not Responding" >

Grr i have not played the game for jut over 4 months now
No multiplayer game is working on my PC ?

Any help ?
from anyone ?

i have tried running the game with Admin Permission & In Compatibility with Windows XP Service Pack 2 !

So i dont now what else to do ?
Please help someone ?

Have you tried reinstalling yet? You might be missing some drivers if you "reset your PC back to default settings".
