Call of Duty 2 server list problem

When I bought this game in november it worked perfectly, but since shortly after the 1.2 patch, I can't find any servers it just says "waiting for response from masterserver". Nothing have been changed since, I have tried to:

1.reinstall the game
2.download the patch from different mirrors
3.updated the punkbuster manually
4.Formatted and reinstalled my computer
5.Maked sure that the Windows firewall is not blocking it

My system
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
1536 MB DDR Ram
128 MB DDR Geforce 6800LE @ 16 pipelines
onboard Lan / Ethernet adapter

My Ethernet is going through a router (Zonet ZSR0104C Series)(with my littlebrothers pc) but I have disabled the inbuild firewall and it have worked perfectly before (with Call of Duty 2 and Battlefield 2). I have tried to find an updated firmware but without luck.

Hoping for that can solve this problem.

its your router blocking access to the COD2/Punkbuster ports. Since the upgrade with the patch, the ports have effectively changed.

Try forwarding the relevent ports again.

I diden't forward any ports before this problem, but I willl try it, you say that the ports have changed, can you tell the name of them? The only port I have heard of is 28960 (UDP/TCP), 20500 (UDP) and 20510 (UDP).

PS when I forward, does it affect my other ethernet programs or games (battlefield 2 and wow)? or does it affect my littlebrothers ethernet?

it wont affect anything in the sense of damage anything.

those are the correct ports.

The reason you need to do it this time is because of PunkBuster. Before you didnt have it - now you do, and it needs a clear run at the net through the appropriate ports.
