Servers Won't Load

For some reason, whenever I go into multiplayer, no servers will load. CoD2 is unblocked on my firewall, if that was going to be a problem. I can't seem to figure it out, any suggestions on what to do?

did you guys look at the server filters? do you have the options at the top of the server browser saying "internet" ? and your connection speed right? you also have to set your connection speed in the options--turn on auto downloading-- try looking into the windows firewall settings as well--- good luck

Yes, setting your connection to Internet is vital. For some strange reason it is defaulted to LAN, if you have that on you will probably get nil results.

dont know if you guys were aware of this but its a problem which is all over the gaming world. its caused by a slow connection speed when scanning the available servers. The Master Servers are soo busy they cant cope with the amount of traffic.

Try using All Seeing Eye or XFire. These are free to download, and scan gaiming servers. Must quicker than the games inbuilt one.

Re: Servers Won't Load

yeah i have to wait 15 - 20 seconds to authenticate me. A slower connection will give higher waiting times.

If you find it does this a lot and your not happy with it, try rebooting the pc, or turning the router off then on again. This is called a power cycle. Sometimes routers get a data clog, and rebooting them clears it.
